The Potential of Storytelling
Stories make up such a big part of our lives. The potential of storytelling to share the most authentic version of ourselves and promote our businesses cannot be emphasized enough. Stories are all around us! I can pick up a book to read someone else’s story. I can call my friends and family to hear their stories. I can check in on social media to watch other peoples stories. I can sit down with a pen and paper and write my own stories.
There are endless opportunities to share stories!
The most amazing thing about sharing stories is they allow us to experience human connection. This is the goal of my business. To help clients tell their story and build human connection.
There are four areas that I work within to help my clients share their stories and connect with their communities. You can see a list of specific examples of the services provided within each area on my services page.
Communications
Internal communication is the sharing of knowledge and information within an organization. Good internal communications can increase productivity, motivate team members and help you attain your business goals. External communication is the sharing of knowledge and information outside of a singular organization. It is the basis of the client-consultant relationship. Good external communications can enhance the reputation of your business, effectively promote your services or products and reduce the risk of mistakes being made. To be effective, both internal and external communications should be clear and concise, happen regularly and go two-ways.
Digital Marketing
According to HubSpot, digital marketing is defined as “all marketing efforts that use an electronic device or the internet. Businesses leverage digital channels such as search engines, social media, email, and other websites to connect with current and prospective customers.”
Digital marketing opens up endless possibilities for your business to showcase their brand through email, video, social media and web-based marketing initiatives. There are many different categories within digital marketing including: Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Content Marketing, Social Media Marketing, Email Marketing, Paid Media Marketing etc. In order to be successful, you should work to develop a clear understanding of how each type of campaign can support your business goals and objectives.
Project Management
While there are many technical definitions of project management, in its simplest form, project management is being able to organize project work so a project team is able to be productive, comprehensive and efficient in moving a project forward to a successful finish. A project could be the development of a new website, the opening of a new restaurant, the planning and execution of an event, or the launch of a new product. I can help you execute your projects and share your company story.
Virtual Assistance
Virtual Assistants (VA’s) provide support services to businesses from a remote location. Hiring a VA can be beneficial to your business as they can take on more monotonous tasks and leave your in person employees available to take on more pressing work at the office. It can also be more cost effective to hire a VA as you can outsource at an hourly rate, you don’t have to pay for on-boarding or training, and there are no benefits or insurance to cover. The work VA’s can do fall under a myriad of categories including: administrative or clerical, bookkeeping, social media, website, email management, research, database management etc.
